As part of the Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness Department, the Grants Office is here to help Atlantic Cape faculty and staff members successfully secure grants for priority projects.

Serving Atlantic Cape Faculty and Staff

The Grants Office collaborates with faculty and staff members to secure funding for projects to meet the strategic goals of Atlantic Cape. Our expertise is in identifying potential funders and developing high-quality applications. If you are a faculty or staff member, we can help you seek funding from:

  • federal, state and county-level public funding sources
  • private foundations
  • corporate foundations

Services of the Grant Office

  • Conducting prospect research to identify potential funders of projects and programs, and tracking priority deadlines.
  • Writing and facilitating Board resolutions for each grant application that Atlantic Cape submits.
  • Creating grant proposals, with steps including:
    • grants.pngDrafting proposal outlines and timelines to ensure that strong proposals are submitted on deadline.
    • Writing proposal content in partnership or consultation with involved faculty and staff.
    • Editing all proposal content to create final copy.
    • Packaging and submitting final grant proposals to funders.
    • Tracking submitted grant proposals and providing grantmakers' feedback to college staff involved in each submitted proposal.
  • Facilitating collaborative grant proposals with Atlantic Cape's external partners.
  • Reaching out to make connections to funders prior to and following the submission of applications. The Grants Office's outreach to funders includes emails and phone calls as well as coordination of site visits when appropriate.
  • In collaboration with the President's Office, creating letters of support submitted by Atlantic Cape's president in support of other local organizations' and partners' grant applications.
  • Educating the Atlantic Cape community about grants.
  • Maintaining records on grants submitted through the Grants Office.

Atlantic Cape's Nonprofit Resource Center

The Grants Office works in coordination with Atlantic Cape's Nonprofit Resource Center, a program of the College Library hosted at the Cape May County and Worthington Atlantic City campuses.

The Nonprofit Resource Center is a Foundation Directory Funding Information Network (FIN) location. Through the FIN, the Atlantic Cape Library offers free access to three world-class databases for grant seekers: the Foundation Directory Online; Foundation Maps and Foundation Grants for Individuals Online.   • Research federal grants at Grants.gov, which announces new competitions for grants from federal agencies and departments.
  • Research state grants through the Grants webpage of the State of New Jersey.
  • Sign up for the Candid Newsletter, a weekly email roundup of recently announced Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from private, corporate and government funding sources.
